Boost for Shanghai Toy Expo at new venue
 
The Shanghai Toy Expo �5th International Trade Fair for Toys, Hobby & Baby Articles �ended on 20th October 2006 with considerable growth in terms of both exhibitors and visitors. The increase to 18,800 visitors (15,400 in 2005) means the fair has expanded its position again in its fifth year. The share of international visitors at 2,400 has also risen over last year (2005: 2,050). Announcement of 2006 China Toy Star Award
 
China Toy Association introduced the annual Toy Star Awards since 2002 to honor and promote the best toys in China to the consumers. It is aimed at encouraging toy producers and individuals to design creative and playful toys.

The appraisal of 2006 China Best Toy successfully ended and there are 10 categories altogether 36 toy products obtained the title of 2006 China Toy Star. The 10 categories are baby articles, toys for preschool children, girl’s toy, and boy’s toy, educational toys, game toys, learning toys, characteristic toy, authorization toys, toys of design innovation.
